2013

Life around the O'Brien household has been crazy.  Crazy in a good way. We have been living this holiday break up to it's fullest.  Spending lots of time with family, vacationing and eating till our hearts content. Just thinking about Monday and having to go back to reality makes our brain hurt.

anyways lets not think about that and reflect on the ups and downs of 2013! For us, 2013 was definitely a year to remember.  A lot of wonderful things happened.

January - April // Adam and I set off on one of the biggest adventures together. We picked up and moved to Scottsdale Arizona for an internship. We learned so much while there and met some amazing people who changed our lives.

While there we were able to do a lot of fun things, but one of our favorites was attending the PGA tour.

We also took a weekend vacation to the Grand Canyon. We left the 75 degree weather for a little snow. We were missing winter in Utah so we thought we would expose ourselves to a few days of the freezing cold.

April // Graduated from BYU. Who would have ever thought I was old enough to graduate from college.

May // This was a tough month for my family. We unexpectedly lost our sweet grandma. She was so young and vibrant which made it a shock too all. I was fortunate enough to sit and have lunch with her just days before her passing. 

June // June consisted of a few Lake Powell trips, a new job and most importantly our 1 year anniversary.

We were able to sneak away for a few days and enjoy sunny St. George.  It was  a blast to get away from everything and spend time with my love.  

July // Birthday month and the 4th of July.

For my birthday, Adam took my downtown to a fun Mexican restaurant and then a bike ride through the city. It was just perfect!

We celebrated the fourth up in Brighton at the O'Brien's cabin and then that evening we went to the famous Oakley Rodeo.

August // Was offered my first job in my profession three days before school started. It was so exciting, but extremely overwhelming. Thanks to my amazing mom and sisters I was able to get everything ready in time.

September // Completed my very first marathon.

And a quick little Lake Powell trips with our good friends.  Minus my sweet husband.

October // Fall break in Newport and Halloween parties.

We were voted best costume!

November // Adam and I received best news ever! We are moving to New York for an internship at an investment bank called Lazard.

December // Purchased our first Christmas tree, ate a lot of food, celebrated the best holiday ever, took a trip to Newport, and relaxed as much as we could.

We feel like this has been the best year and pretty hard to beat. We are so excited for all that we have been able to accomplish and learn this year. We are ecstatic about the adventures to come and the new year ahead.  2014 we are coming for you!
